Blouse Stitching and Saree Alterations in Milpitas

Most of the blouse stitching we do starts the same way: someone has a saree, a function on the calendar, and no blouse that fits. We stitch blouses from the blouse piece that comes with the saree, alter readymade blouses, and do saree fall and edging, at our boutique in Milpitas, California.

What we stitch and alter

• Blouses stitched from your saree's blouse piece, to your measurements.
• Readymade blouses taken in, let out, or sleeves shortened.
• Saree fall and pico edging so the saree drapes properly and does not fray.
• Kurta and lehenga alterations: hems, sleeves, side seams.

How it works

Book an appointment and bring the saree. We measure you in the store, agree on the neckline and sleeve length, and give you a pickup date. If you are buying the saree from us the same day, we take measurements while you are here, which is why many customers from San Jose, Fremont, Sunnyvale and Santa Clara combine the two in one visit. If you cannot wait for stitching, the sarees with a ready-to-wear blouse and the readymade blouse collection are the quick options; a readymade blouse usually needs only a small alteration, which is faster than stitching from scratch.

Before a wedding or festival

Stitching slots fill up in the two weeks before Diwali, Navratri and the wedding months. Tell us the date of the function when you book and we will tell you honestly whether we can make it. Rush work is possible when the calendar allows; call before you drive over.

Do you do blouse stitching near San Jose and Fremont?

Yes. Blouse stitching and saree alterations are done at the JCS Fashions boutique in Milpitas, about 15 minutes from San Jose and 20 minutes from Fremont. Appointments only.

How long does blouse stitching take?

It depends on the season and the design. Ask for a pickup date when you book; readymade blouse alterations are quicker than stitching from a blouse piece.

Can I get a blouse stitched for a saree I did not buy at JCS?

Yes. Bring the saree and the blouse piece to your appointment.

Do you do saree fall and pico edging?

Yes, saree fall and edging stitching is a standard service at the store.
